A data breach represents the single largest threat that companies and organizations face. On September 19 at MakeOffices in Tysons Corner, fifty TiE DC members gathered to hear Dr. Anup Ghosh, Founder and CEO of Invincea, discuss his entrepreneurial journey. Ghosh’s venture-backed software company specializes in malware threat detection and prevention.

When asked whether he was a born or made entrepreneur, Ghosh stated: “I don’t believe that I was born an entrepreneur. I believe that I was born a problem solver and that the core reason to start a business is to solve problems.”

His experience at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) proved transformative, providing “the courage to go do whatever he wanted to do” and solidifying his determination to pursue Invincea.

He stated: “The dichotomy is that humility really helped me bring in the best people and relinquish control to them.”
